2025 Women’s AfroBasket: Nigeria’s D’Tigress Placed in Group D

Nigeria’s D’Tigress, the current African champions, have been assigned to Group D for the much awaited 2025 Women’s AfroBasket Championship.
The tournament will begin in Côte d’Ivoire from July 26 to August 3 and D’Tigress is grouped with Mozambique and Rwanda.
The Nigerian women’s basketball team is keen to defend their title and earn a historic seventh tournament championship victory under head coach Rena Wakama’s direction.

In order to further establish their supremacy in African women’s basketball at the forthcoming AfroBasket Championship, their expertise and tenacity will be essential.
