Apex Association of Anioma Indigenes Applauds Governor Oborevwori for Landmark N275bn Project Approvals

Asaba, February 13, 2025 the Apex Association of Anioma Indigenes Inc. (AAAI), a foremost advocate for good governance and citizenship, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his bold and transformative leadership following the state’s approval of over N275 billion for 76 projects.

The commendation was delivered by AAAI President, Apostle Patrick A. Nwanze, during a press briefing held on February 13, 2025. The association praised the governor’s commitment to infrastructure development, which is set to improve the quality of life across the state.

Apostle Nwanze described the governor’s record-breaking approval as a significant step toward sustainable growth, stating:

Projects like these will have a positive impact on the great people of Delta State. It is a clear demonstration of Governor Oborevwori’s resolve to ensure equitable development across all senatorial districts.

The AAAI lauded the administration’s focus on critical sectors such as road infrastructure, healthcare, education, and urban renewal. The association noted that the planned 40% upfront mobilization for contractors, without resorting to borrowing, underscores the state’s fiscal responsibility and transparency.

AAAI promoters of South-South & Southeast culture heritage, tourism and business summit, who had their precursor event in Asaba Nov 30 2024,
also wish to use this medium to encourage the leadership to invest in cultural heritage,museums because of its impact on moral and educational values of the people that shapens the community positively. High cultural values will hinder vandalization of this beautiful infrastructures.

Also., the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joseph Onojaeme, said Exco approved N1.6bn for the Contributory Health Scheme and a monthly release of N100m to ensure sustainability of the health coverage for Deltans.

The association further praised the administration’s commitment to clearing outstanding debts to contractors, such as the N8 billion owed for the Trans-Warri Road, ensuring the continuity of vital projects.

AAAI reaffirmed its support for Governor Oborevwori’s developmental agenda and expressed optimism that the projects would be executed to the highest standards, bringing lasting progress to communities across Delta State.
