FG Congratulates Trump on Swearing-in as 47th President

On his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has received congratulations from the Federal Government.
Kimiebi Ebienfa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, delivered the warning in a statement on Tuesday.
The federal government emphasized the two countries’ longstanding and solid relationship, emphasizing their mutual collaboration in fields including violent extremism and terrorist prevention, sustainable development, and good governance.
Under President Trump’s direction, Nigeria is committed to deepening its strategic partnership with the United States in order to promote the interests and welfare of both countries’ populations, the statement said.
According to FG, Nigeria is eager to work with the US in the future to address global issues and promote progress for both countries.
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria extends its congratulations to President Donald Trump on his successful inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America,” the statement said.
In many areas of shared interest, Nigeria and the United States of America have collaborated, particularly in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, sustainable development, and the advancement of good governance.
“For the benefit of all our people, Nigeria thus looks forward to further solidifying our historic, robust, and dynamic strategic partnership.”

On Monday, Trump took the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States in a historic inaugural ceremony that was moved inside the Capitol Rotunda because of bad weather.
CNN reports that as Trump took the oath of office delivered by Chief Justice John Roberts of the Supreme Court, he vowed to uphold, defend, and preserve the Constitution.
