EFCC Arrests 133 Over Ponzi Scheme Fraud in Abuja

133 defendants were taken into custody by EFCC agents during their operation on a Ponzi scheme academy in Abuja on Monday.

In a statement released on Monday, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the operation.

Oyewale claimed that after obtaining useful information regarding the academy’s operations, the suspects were captured at the Compensation Layout in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

The school, called Q University (sometimes called Q-Net), enticed young Nigerians with the promise of astronomical earnings.

“Special Training for New Generation Billionaire” was the phrase used to train the recruits to further recruit others.

The suspects enrolled in the program by completing a “Independent Representative Application Form,” which featured marketing slogans such as “I’m Infinity,” “I’m Unstoppable,” and “I’m a Champion.”
