Funke Akindele Denies Engaging in ‘Dirty Work’ to Succeed in Film Industry

Award-winning Nigerian producer, director, and actress Funke Akindele has stated that hard labor and performing the “dirty work” are necessary to achieve success.
The movie actress reportedly said this in a chat with media personality Chude Jideonwu on the “WithChude” podcast.
While discussing her ideas on success and tenacity, Funke made it clear that she places more emphasis on diligence and hard work than on receiving a lot of praise.
She also emphasized how crucial spirituality, self-awareness, and creativity were to her capacity to change careers in show business.
“Many people want to do what I’m doing, but I keep telling them that you have to work hard to succeed,” she said. Take care of the grubby tasks.
In response to a question concerning her consistency, the actress, who has dominated the Nigerian box office for four years running with success after smash, said that she is deliberate and meticulous in everything she does.
In addition, Funke Akindele offered her personal thoughts on loss and emotional fortitude, disclosing that she doesn’t let personal issues cause her to lose it.
In the meantime, Nollywood actor and skit creator Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, better known by her stage name Ijoba Lande, has apologized to renowned director Funke Akindele for claiming to have received ₦90,000 after spending a month on her film set.
In a video that went viral online, Lande reportedly described his encounter with Funke and said that the thespian was never friendly.

After liking one of his videos on social media, Funke Akindele DM’d him, Lande explained.
Because he thought it would be the huge break his career needed, the skitmaker said he was thrilled to get Funke’s message and didn’t bother to charge her.
Lande claimed to have learnt his lesson from the incident and would charge anyone, including Michael Jackson, for work.
In the entertainment world, he also counseled up-and-coming artists to collect their fees without embarrassment or regard for others as gods.
In a Friday social media video, Lande explained that he got paid ₦190,000 instead of ₦90,000 as previously stated.
He explained the confusion by saying that the video in which he said Funke Akindele paid him only 90,000 was badly edited.
He pleaded with Funke for forgiveness, emphasizing that he did not want to be imprisoned.
