Bobrisky Opens Up on Falling Victim to Online Scam: ‘I Never Thought I’d Be Someone’s Client’

Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, is a well-known Nigerian socialite and crossdresser who recently admitted to falling victim to an online romance fraud.
The media star said on his Instagram page that he lost $990 to a scammer.
He said he was shocked and disappointed by the event and that he never thought he would be the target of such a plot.

He claimed that the con artist had been corresponding with him for a number of months and had claimed to live in the US before moving to Canada.

He clarified that during their conversation, the con artist called regularly, pretended to be genuinely interested in his life, and kept up regular communication.

“I never imagined in my life that I would be a client to anybody,” the transvestite remarked. We’ve been chatting for over a couple months now after this guy DM’d me. He gives me a call nearly every day. He claimed to have resided in the USA before relocating to Canada.

According to Bobrisky, the scam changed course when a U.S. client contacted him regarding an advertisement and requested to use CashApp to make a deposit. Then he begged the alleged lover to assist him in getting the money.

A few weeks later, a call for advertisements came from someone in the USA. I asked this guy who was speaking to me if she required a CashApp to pay her deposit. He promised to offer his own to me. He continued, “As soon as he received the money, he blocked me.”

In order to warn people not to fall for similar frauds, the socialite went so far as to post screenshots of their conversations and a picture of the purported scammer on his page.
