Nigerian Lawmaker Passes Away in His Sleep

Aminu Ibrahim Kasuwar-Daji, a member of the Zamfara State House of Assembly who represented the Kaura Namoda South Constituency, passed away.
According to reports, Kasuwar-Daji passed away in his sleep early on Wednesday morning.
Yusuf Idris, the Publicity Secretary for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, released a statement expressing the party’s profound sadness over the lawmaker’s untimely passing.
Kasuwar-Daji was a devoted, honest, and devout person who worked hard to serve his constituency and mankind, according to the party’s State Working Committee, executives, and followers, who also expressed their sorrow over the loss.
The state assembly members, the deceased’s immediate family, and the residents of Kaura Namoda South received the party’s sincere condolences. They prayed that Allah would provide the deceased Jannatul Firdaus and give his loved ones the fortitude to cope with the loss.
Today, in Kasuwar-Daji, his hometown in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Ibrahim Kasuwar-Daji will be buried.
In other news, soldiers from the Nigerian Army’s 8 Division launched a ferocious attack on a well-known hideaway in Mati Forest, Zamfara State, on Monday night and into the early hours of Tuesday in an attempt to destroy terrorist strongholds in the Northwest.

Many terrorists were killed, large quantities of weapons and ammunition were recovered, and their camps were destroyed as a result of the operation.
One soldier was hurt in the conflict, though, and has since been stabilized and sent to a hospital.
The troops, acting under Operation Munoz, moved through the villages of Tibuki and Sabuwar Tunga before capturing the Mati Camps, according to Vanguard’s sources.
