Ganduje Declares: No Merger in 2027 Can Defeat Tinubu

Any merger aimed at overthrowing President Bola Tinubu in 2027 will fail, according to Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was said by Ganduje on Friday following his visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari’s home in Kaduna State with members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
According to reports, former governors Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Jibrilla Bindow (Adamawa), and Achike Udenwa (Imo) visited Buhari at his Kaduna residence on Friday to wish him a happy Sallah.
After the meeting, Ganduje told reporters that the APC is not concerned about opposition lawmakers forming coalitions.

We are completely unconcerned. History is attempting to repeat itself here. They started a joint venture, but it won’t succeed because, based on what we’ve observed, some things are just incompatible. It’s a game, and we won’t give away our strategies, but we can guarantee you that we are up to the challenge,” he said.
The APC already possessed 21 states, and the former governor of Kano State emphasized that it would soon welcome some governors who would defect to the party.
The APC is still “the strongest party in West Africa,” he continued, and it will continue to maintain sway after 2027.
We’re looking at other states that might join us. The governors themselves will either show up, or we will run for office and beat them to boost our total. We’re not sleeping, but we’re comfy. We’ll keep going,” he continued.
