Coach Kennedy Boboye guided Akwa United to a four-win, one-draw record in five games while on the bench. His strategic skills and ability to encourage his players were critical in achieving these results.
Boboye faced tight competition for Manager of the Month, competing against famous individuals such as Finidi George of Rivers United, Ladan Bosso of Bayelsa United, and Mangut Mbwas of Plateau United before winning the accolade.

This accolade is significant for Akwa United because it is the first time this season that either a player or coach from the club has achieved such honours.
