Women Leader Alile Says Tinubu’s Performance Drawing Opponents to APC

Mary Alile, the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that the influx of opposition politicians into her party is due to President Bola Tinubu’s excellent job.
According to reports, Mrs. Alile praised former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for abandoning the opposition PDP.
The national women leader of the APC said in a statement on Thursday that opposition party chieftains and members from throughout the country had been joining the party in large numbers.
According to her, the widespread defection in Delta signifies a shift in the political climate of Delta State.
Significant defections to the APC have occurred in a number of other states. For example, in Abia State, more than 500 members of the Young People’s Party (YPP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have joined the APC in the Bende Federal Constituency.
“The APC’s presence in the state legislature has been strengthened by the defection of four members of the Edo State House of Assembly who were previously members of the PDP and LP.
Joseph Ameh Erico, a former PDP candidate for governor of Kogi State, joined the APC in Olamaboro Local Government Area with a large number of supporters, demonstrating the party’s growing support at the local level.

Leading PDP leaders in Sokoto and Zamfara States, such as Alhaji Sahabi Bojo-Bodinga in Sokoto and Hajiya Madina Shehu in Zamfara, have steered a sizable number of supporters to the APC, bolstering the party’s presence in these areas.
“Hundreds of PDP and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) members have switched to the APC in Ondo State ahead of the election, indicating a change in political allegiance before the polls,” she said.
Additionally, Alile praised President Tinubu for his innovative leadership and persistent dedication to national development, both of which have been crucial in drawing new party members.
She praised grassroots mobilization efforts of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and its women’s clubs around the country.
We also applaud the National Working Committee as a whole and the APC National Chairman for their calculated attempts to promote inclusivity and togetherness within the party.
In my capacity as National Woman Leader, I acknowledge and honor the crucial role that women have played throughout this revolutionary time. Their commitment to lobbying and grassroots mobilization has been a key component of the APC’s growing power. To guarantee our party’s long-term growth and prosperity, we must keep empowering and assisting women,” she continued.
