Saraki Responds as PDP Forms New Committee Ahead of Convention

The PDP formed a committee on Sunday to make sure the National Convention and National Executive Council meeting went well.

In Abuja on Sunday, the party called an emergency meeting of governors and former governors and established the seven-member committee.
The committee has been tasked with making sure that the May 27 NEC meeting is free of all forms of animosity. It is led by former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Reacting to the news, Saraki said the emergency meeting’s discussions were productive.

The PDP governors, both current and former, discussed the party’s problems and potential solutions, he added.

The committee was established to help the PDP find a new direction, Sataki said.

The committee is led by me, and I shall enjoy working with my brothers, who are the governors of Zamfara, Plateau, and Enugu States, respectively: HE Dauda Lawal, HE Caleb Muftwang, and HE Peter Mba.

“Other members include former Abia State governor, HE, Chief Okezie Ikpeazu, Sen. Seriake Dickson, and Sen. Ibrahim Dankwambo,” Saraki wrote on X.

He also promised that he and the other committee members would give their all to the task at hand.

“We intend to execute the task assigned to us to the best of our abilities,” he continued.
