I Almost Sought Canada’s Prime Minister’s Help to Locate You – Tinubu Tells Alaafin of Oyo

He nearly contacted former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to find the Alaafin of Oyo-designate, who had left for Canada prior to his official coronation in Oyo Kingdom, Nigeria, according to President Bola Tinubu.
On Friday, Tinubu made this statement during a visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he was presented with Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, the recently appointed 46th Alaafin of Oyo.
“When you were announced as the nominee and when you returned to Canada, you caused anxiety.” On a real note, I wanted to phone the President of Canada, not the Prime Minister. When he announced that he would not run for office again, we were in Brazil together.

“He said you went to sign off, but I wanted to ask him if he could help me find my Alaafin,” the President continued.

In addition to elevating Yoruba culture in Canada, he praised the new monarch for exhibiting discipline and character.

“I’m happy that you’re a ray of hope for the rest of our race; your positive reputation in Canada and your representation of our race as a dedicated engineer who wishes to advance this nation are admirable.” That you returned, were crowned, and arrived here first is a good thing. The president added, “I truly appreciate that.”

Tinubu emphasized that inclusivity was necessary for the country’s culture, peace, and stability, underscoring the fact that running the country was not a solo endeavor.
