NAHCON: Over 34,000 Nigerian Pilgrims Welcomed in Makkah for 2025 Hajj

According to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), 34,647 Nigerian pilgrims have already arrived in Makkah from Madina to complete the 2025 Hajj rite

Alhaji Alidu Shutti, Deputy Coordinator of NAHCON Office in Makkah, revealed this during a news interview on Monday.

Shutti, the Director of Inspectorate and Compliance, stated that the commission is fully equipped to ensure smooth Hajj operations.‎

“I am pleased to report that we have received 34,647 as of yesterday (Sunday).

“Pilgrims have been ushered into their accommodations in Makkah, and we want to inform you that we are on course.”

‎ “We are fully prepared to assist the guests of Allah so that they will have Hajj Mabur,” he claimed.

NAHCON has had talks with service providers and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj.

“Update meetings have been held at the Deputy Minister level in Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj.”

“During the meeting, we reviewed our operations, what we have done, and what needs to be done.” It is simply to ensure that all i’s and t’s have been crossed in order for the Hajj activities to be successful,” he stated.

Shutti praised Saudi officials for providing consular support for the Hajj, ensuring its success.

“We also want to use this medium to appreciate our chief host in the kingdom: the Nigerian embassy in Riyadh and the Nigerian Consulate-General in Jeddah.”

“They have been excellent and helpful. “They have been providing the commission with the necessary consular support to ensure the success of the Hajj,” he said.

The NAHCON official praised the staff members’ collaboration and teamwork for offering efficient and effective services to pilgrims.

He stated that everyone is working tirelessly to ensure the Hajj procedures go well.

“Our objective is to deliver efficient and effective services to Allah’s visitors.

“It is also to ensure that the money paid by the pilgrims is used for the services and that they are duly provided, as captured in the agreement with the service provider.”

“I’d also like to inform you that the commission is monitoring the services. We have personnel from the inspectorate and compliance.

“They are to monitor whether they are providing the promised services.

“Our team also includes monitoring and evaluation professionals. They are to monitor and evaluate the type of services provided to pilgrims,” he stated.

According to Shutti, this is to ensure that Allah’s visitors receive only the best. (NAN)
