2025 UTME: JAMB Sets Mop-up Exam Date, Directs Candidates to Print Slips

The schedule for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up tests has been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

96,838 candidates have been rescheduled for the 2025 UTME mop-up exercise at 183 centers nationwide, while others are being held on standby, according to a statement issued on Sunday.

The board clarified that 5,096 candidates who failed biometric verification during the main exercise and spillover candidates would be covered in the mop-up exam.

According to the release, 91,742 students who missed either or both of the main and retake exams would also take the mop-up exams because of a specific exemption provided by JAMB.
As a result, candidates have been told to begin printing their notification slips on Monday, June 23.

It has been cleared to hold the 2025 UTME mop-up exam on Saturday, June 28.

“The 5,096 spillover applicants and those who did not pass biometric verification during the main exercise will be accommodated in this test. Additionally, 91, 742 applicants who missed both or one of the main and retake exams will also be allowed this option, which is exclusive to the 2025 UTME, because of the unique dispensation provided to absentee candidates of the main and retake exams. Therefore, in 183 locations throughout the country, 96,838 applicants are being rescheduled for the 2025 mop-up exercise, while others are being held on standby, the statement stated.
