The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, says opponents of progress are upset because he has reconciled with his successor, suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Wike made the announcement on Thursday during a media briefing in Abuja, claiming that peace has returned to the state.

He claimed that many people had turned the state’s crises into a “oil well,” from which they were extracting illicit monies for personal gain.
The minister also stated that he does not owe anyone an explanation for the parameters of the truce between him and Fubara.
