Why Manchester United Haven’t Submitted a Bid for Osimhen Yet – Report

Because of the uncertainties surrounding the player’s future, Manchester United has not made a serious attempt to recruit Victor Osimhen, a striker for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Osimhen has reportedly made the decision not to play for Napoli under coach Antonio Conte, and he intends to depart the team permanently this summer.
According to reports, after his stellar loan stint at Galatasaray last season, the Italian Serie A champions want to retain their former talisman at the club.

However, as other suitors from mainstream Europe have not come forward with an offer, the 26-year-old Nigerian striker has decided to return to the Turkish club on a permanent deal, which would earn him about 16 million each season.

As they continue to look for a way to improve their current goal-scoring performance, Manchester United was reportedly quite interested in Osimhen.

Fabrizio Romano, an Italian transfer analyst, has clarified on his YouTube channel that Manchester United has not made an offer for Osimhen because of his pay demands.

Romano responded, “Many of you are asking me if Manchester United can try to hijack this deal.”

In addition to the 75 million euros, I am not aware of Manchester United getting involved in this one because of the pay.

“The pay has always been the main source of contention between Premier League clubs from last summer and this summer.

Assuming Galatasaray is willing to pay 16 million euros net every season, Osimhen’s net wage at Napoli is 12 million euros.

In contrast to Manchester United’s pay structure, this is entirely different. For this reason, Manchester United has not yet taken action.

With a few weeks till the start of the new season, Osimhen has no direction as of yet after Napoli reportedly turned down Galatasaray’s offer for him earlier today.

As of the time of writing, he has not responded to Napoli’s alleged letter asking him to start preseason training again while he waits for his next transfer.
