Wike’s Aide Mocks Atiku’s Presidential Pursuit: “Is It a Doctor’s Order?”

Lere Olayinka, the Senior SpWike’s Aide Mocks Atiku’s Presidential Pursuit: “Is It a Doctor’s Order?”ecial Assistant to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike on Public Communications, has questioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s fixation with becoming Nigeria’s president.
Olayinka claims that Atiku is acting as though a doctor had prescribed him the presidency and that if he doesn’t become the leader of Nigeria, something will happen to him.
He characterized Atiku as the PDP’s (People’s Democratic Party) rotten apple.
During an appearance on Channels Television on Thursday, Olayinka reportedly posed new queries regarding Atiku’s intent in running for president.
He claimed that because Atiku wanted to be president, he worked against the PDP in Lagos State in 2003 while serving as vice president, which allowed anti-party activities to occur within the party.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is only interested in being president of Nigeria, and Wike’s aide said, “I’m starting to wonder whether a doctor prescribed ‘presidency’ for Atiku so that if he doesn’t become president, something will happen to him.”

Olayinka’s proposal was made just hours after Atiku formally declared his departure from the PDP on Wednesday.
Atiku wrote to the PDP Chairman in Jada 1 ward, Jada LGA, Adamawa State, to inform him of his decision to leave the main opposition party.
The letter announcing Atiku’s resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), according to Atiku’s media adviser Paul Ibe, was purposefully leaked by those hostile to his political aspirations rather than being formally publicized.
Ibe reportedly revealed the information on Wednesday night in an interview with Arise News, where he addressed criticism about Atiku’s departure from the PDP being announced just hours after former President Muhammadu Buhari’s funeral.
