Nigeria Facing Collapse Under Tinubu, Warns Secondus

President Bola Tinubu has been charged by Prince Uche Secondus, a former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with steering Nigeria in the wrong way.
Secondus went on to say that Nigeria’s economy is being led toward liquidation by President Tinubu.
The PDP chieftain reportedly made the submission on Wednesday while speaking in Abuja at the public launch of two new books written by Ike Abonyi, a political communicator and seasoned journalist. The books are called Wadata Wonders: Memoirs of a Partisan Journalist and The Bubbles of Nigeria’s Democracy: The Musings of a Nigerian Journalist.
He bemoaned the absence of institutional continuity and ideological consistency among political parties in Nigeria’s current dysfunctional democratic system.

“We have a long way to go before we can declare that we have democracy,” he stated. Our nation does not have democracy. Essentially, we have a platform to win an election.
“Under Bola Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria is progressively heading in the wrong path to the point that it is almost ready to be liquidated. Every member of the political parties and communities is meant to be in a chain of command from the units and wards.
Secondus emphasized the necessity for Nigeria to establish robust political institutions by drawing comparisons between the two countries, characterizing South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC) as an unshakeable institution.
He said that such acts undermine democratic culture and stability, drawing a comparison to Nigeria, where politicians often switch parties with no repercussions.
“The country will not advance until we create appropriate democratic political parties where people can stay for 30, 40, or 50 years, build, and rebuild,” Secondus stated.
