Gambaryan Criticizes Ribadu Over Remarks on Canada After CDS Musa’s Visa Denial

According to Tigran Gambaryan, Head of Financial Crimes Compliance at Binance, Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, is a hypocrite.
General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff, reportedly described on Thursday how the Canadian embassy refused to grant him and other senior military personnel visas.
General Musa claims that the Canadian embassy refused to provide him and the other top military officers visas despite their invitation to attend an event honoring veterans on Wednesday.

At the National Association of the Institute for Security Studies’ (AANISS) inaugural annual lecture in Abuja, Musa declared, “Every setback is a blessing.” I was supposed to have been in Canada yesterday, Wednesday. We were destined to attend an event honoring our troops and those wounded in combat actions.

In his remarks at the AANIS lecture, Ribadu called the refusal of the visa a betrayal of Nigeria.

“Thank you for having the guts to say that Canada refused your visas. They may burn in hell.

“I agree with you that it’s time to improve our nation, even though it’s hurtful and disrespectful. We are powerful and peaceful. But that’s just one more reason we strive to make Nigeria function,” he said.

Gambaryan, who was arrested in Nigeria by the NSA’s office in response to the report, claimed that Ribadu had no right to protest the treatment of people invited to Canada when he treated him and other people invited to Nigeria the same way.

“Is Nuhu Ribadu whining about the treatment of people who were invited to Canada? That is wealthy. What about how you handled the people you invited to Nigeria? He posted on his X handle on Friday, “The hypocrisy is real.”
