Aduwo Alleges Deliberate Smear Campaign Against Ojulari to Disrupt National Progress

According to the Center for Convention on Democratic Integrity (CCDI), Mr. Ojulari, the recently appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), is the target of a cowardly whispering campaign of calumny, targeted harassment, and disgusting propaganda.

The non-governmental organization (NGO) said in a statement released Monday by its president in Lagos, Comrade Olufemi Aduwo, that it has become clear that some disgruntled elements, many of whom have long profited from the systemic decay in the oil and gas industry, are extremely uneasy about Mr. Ojulari’s audacious pledge to sanitize the NNPCL.

These disloyal actors have used deceptive techniques, disinformation, and malicious insinuations to undermine public trust and foster conflict within the Presidency in an attempt to thwart the ongoing changes.

Sections of the statement read as follows: “Let it be stated unequivocally: Mr. Ojulari did not rise to this office through favoritism or intrigue, but rather through demonstrated competence, moral clarity, and an unwavering record of service.”

A return to operational transparency, economic restraint, and the recovery of national assets from long-standing cartels and oil thieves have already been hinted at by his early measures.

Threatened by the loss of their illegal pipelines and privileges, we know that these enemies of the country are now trying to trap security forces, deceive political players, and contaminate public areas. They’re not just targeting a man; they’re targeting Nigeria’s independent energy future.

We urge the National Security Advisor, His Excellency President Bola Tinubu, and all patriotic institutions to remain steadfast. Nigeria’s success is Mr. Ojulari’s success. Betraying him would be a betrayal of the national survival and reform mandate. Nigeria will not be held captive by saboteurs posing as fans.
