Angel Smith Responds to Lesbianism Allegations, Calls Out Double Standards

After receiving criticism for a video of herself with a woman, Angel Smith, a former housemate on Big Brother Naija, responded.
A close embrace between the woman and the reality TV star was captured on camera. As a result, there were rumors that the two might be lesbians.
Being called a lesbian is not an insult, according to Angel’s response in a Snapchat statement.

While pedophiles are frequently ignored, she pointed out that her relationship and sexuality are closely examined, highlighting the absurdity in society’s values.

She maintained that since it’s her life, she has the freedom to choose as an adult.

Angel, who clarified that she is not homophobic, also emphasized the significance of honoring personal convictions and differences.

Rejecting the criticism, she pointed out that opinions are ephemeral and will eventually be forgotten.

She claims that when Nigerians learn that others don’t agree with them, they go crazy, saying things like, “Wow, calling me a lesbian isn’t the gag you think it is, is it an insult, yawn, bad news, my handsome ass.”

“Remember, this is my life. The hidden stuff was not discovered by you people. After posting it myself, I allowed my pals to do the same because—guess what? I know it’s startling, but can you believe that this is my life, that I’m an adult, and that I can do anything I want?

“And that’s astonishing once more; I’m not homophobic. Did you folks also realize that just because you believe something is horrible, it doesn’t mean that the other person feels the same way?

“Did you guys also realize that your opinions will be but a whisper in the wind after we pass away? I realize it’s shocking.
