BREAKING: Former Obasanjo ADC Jemitola Passes Away

Major General Chris Jemitola (rtd), a former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, died Thursday morning after falling at the IBB Golf Club.
According to family sources who spoke to The Whistler, he was brought to the hospital right after but was declared dead when they got there.
Between 2003 until 2007, Jemitola, who was a colonel, was Obasanjo’s ADC.
He served as Nigeria’s Defence Attaché in Brazil after advancing to the position of Director of Defence Information during his illustrious military career.
Prior to retirement from active duty, he served in the Nigerian Army as the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) after rising to the rank of Major General in 2014.

After retiring, Jemitola entered the business sector, joining Pinnacle Communications Limited in 2019 as Senior Advisor for Military Communications.
Regarding his passing, his family has not yet released an official statement.
