“Papa passed away on Friday at precisely 8 p.m., and his remains have been placed in the mortuary. His last minutes were spent with me. Emma stated, “I will meet with my family in the morning to share the news with them.”

He went on to say that Ejeagha had long been preparing the family for this time and had given them instructions not to embalm his body or keep it in the morgue for too long.

Emma described his father as “a genius and a peace-loving man.” The highlife icon had been battling prostate cancer since 2006 and had been hospitalized several times during that time.

Two weeks ago, his condition deteriorated, and while he was temporarily stabilized and released from the hospital, he was taken back to the hospital last Tuesday, when he passed away.
