‘Bad Father!’ – Portable Lashes Out at Dad Over Police Case

Contentious Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, is a Nigerian artist who has accused his father of not stepping in to resolve the ongoing conflict with the Ogun State Police.
According to reports, the conflict with the police started when representatives from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA) came to Portable’s Odogwu Bar and Restaurant to close the establishment because there weren’t enough authorized permits and air space.
In addition to taking cars, electronics, and personal things, the singer said that the authorities stormed his property and arrested more than 20 people, including artists and patrons.
Olatunji Odunlami, the Ogun State Commissioner for Physical Planning, however, called Portable’s allegations “spurious and blatant falsehood” and stated that appropriate process was followed in the arrest.
Nine people were charged with five counts after the altercation, including armed violence, felony, obstruction, assault, and intent to kill. Portable is still at large.
The “Zazu Zeh” singer asserted that his father had deserted him in a message on his Instagram page on Tuesday, emphasizing that he had helped with the projects.
The musician claimed that the current situation resulted from his father’s inability to settle with the authorities.

“But why my papa doesn’t go to the police station to cover me? He’s a bad father,” he wrote. He took my money when I gave it to him to build all those residences. I won’t have any issues with these folks if I tell him to stop settling with them.
