Champions League 2025/26: Pot 1 Features Barcelona, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Liverpool [See Details]

The Premier League champions, Barcelona Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Liverpool have all been assigned to Pot 1 of the seeds for the 2025–2026 UEFA Champions League league phase draw after Roma did not qualify on the last day.
Barcelona is expected to end up in Pot 1 for the second straight season, according to reports.
Roma would have qualified for the competition last season if Atalanta had placed fifth in Serie A, but they ended up finishing in the top four.
Juventus has finished in fourth place this season, sending Roma back to the UEFA Europa League.
The eight teams who have performed the best in Europe during the previous five seasons, together with the Champions League winners, are assigned to Pot 1.
Barcelona is now in tenth place, and Roma is in ninth. When Roma is eliminated, Barcelona advances to Pot 1.
Additionally, Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, will be in Pot 1. However, the Pot 1 teams are not prohibited from playing each other.

Each club and the pot they are in are shown below.
POT 1: Borussia Dortmund Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Internazionale, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.
POT 2: Rangers, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, Benfica (all of whom must qualify), Atalanta, Villarreal, Juventus, Eintracht Frankfurt, Club Brugge (all of whom must qualify), Bhakhtar Donetsk (all of whom must qualify).
Which clubs go through qualification will determine who gets to play in Pots 3 and 4.
Marseille, Ajax Amsterdam, Napoli, Sporting CP, Olympiacos, and Slavia Prague will all undoubtedly be in Pot 3.
For Celtic, AS Monaco, Athletic Club, and Newcastle United, Pot 4 is the most likely destination.
