Omotola Ekeinde Opens Up: ‘I Was So Lost, Tortured’ Over Son’s Music Choice

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, a seasoned Nollywood actress, has expressed regret about her son’s musical preferences.
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, the actress reportedly shared a memory of a day she spent at the gym with her son on Instagram.
Omotola, who claimed to have missed songs from the 1990s, claimed that while her son was singing and playing a song in the car, she felt lost and confined.

“So I decided to go to the gym with these adult children,” she wrote. I’ve never felt so stuck in my life! @michael_ekeinde. Oh, I miss the music of the 1990s. I was really lost. I doubt they even recalled that I was stranded in their vehicle.

Many people urged me to share this on my page after I did so on my stories. Well, hmm. I’m not sure whether it’s because they think it’s hilarious or because they like torturing me.
In related events, legendary Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo stated that he anticipates Valerie, his daughter, getting married, finishing her doctorate, or moving out of his home before 2027.
The actor reportedly revealed this while commemorating his daughter’s 25th birthday.

Kanayo lavished his daughter with praise and blessings in the post on his Instagram page.

Kanayo also recalled how his daughter would frequently criticize him for being away on filming.

He thanked them for staying active and in demand in the industry and clarified that great performers must travel often as part of their job.
