Coalition: Bode George Questions Atiku Over Ties With Buhari, PDP Membership

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has drawn criticism from former Deputy National Chairman Bode George for his visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Remember how Atiku visited Buhari at his home in Kaduna State with former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal?
But Atiku made it clear that the main purpose of the visit was to celebrate Sallah, not to discuss the proposed political party coalition that would strengthen the opposition.
Declaring that Atiku had no business with Buhari, he denounced the visit in an exclusive interview with George.
After gaining from the PDP, he chastised Atiku for contemplating a merger. He stated that the PDP is the only party in the nation with a legitimate structure and urged other parties to join.

“They went to see Baba Buhari,” George added. Does Buhari belong to the PDP? Aside from coming from the same area, what connection do Atiku, his crew, and Buhari have?
“What’s the main idea? Our party was advantageous to you. Mega is what you’re discussing. You haven’t talked to your party about the mega.
“The Oak Tree is the only political party in this country; in Yoruba land, it is known as the Iroko Tree.” You’re telling everyone that you ought to throw a huge party. Allow them to join us.
“We are the only political party in this country. I put anyone with structures to the test.
“What I mean by structure, National structure, State structure, Zonal structure. I’m referring to the fact that you have a national treasurer, national secretary, national woman leader, and youth leader.
Who are the APC’s national treasurer, national organizing secretary, and national secretary? Every one of these constructions.
“And if you find one person, nobody, go to all the states.” It belongs to a single person. Self-aggrandizement is what Atiku is doing. What do you want under Baba Buhari? Does he belong to our party?
