The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has credited the Federal Government’s naira-for-crude program with its recent gasoline price reductions, stating that the agreement has allowed it to provide Nigerians with reasonably priced fuel and mitigate the effects of fluctuations in the world oil market.
The firm said in a statement on Monday that it has been able to continuously lower the price of gasoline, which has given consumers some respite at the pump, even in the face of growing global crude costs.
Reiterating the refinery’s commitment to stable and affordable fuel prices, Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, signed the release containing the announcement.
The statement said, “We are incredibly appreciative of President Bola Tinubu for enabling us to continuously lower the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians through the admirable naira-for-crude initiative.”
The decision to maintain consistent fuel prices was explained by Dangote Petroleum Refinery as part of a larger effort to boost the Nigerian economy and lessen the financial burden on residents who are struggling with exorbitant energy prices.

The corporation stated that their strategy is in line with the goals of the Federal Government’s “Nigeria First Policy,” which encourages the prioritization of locally produced goods and services.
The business emphasized the strategic significance of the facility, which is advertised as the largest single-train refinery in the world, and pointed out that domestic refining plays a significant role in economic stability, foreign exchange savings, and national energy security.
According to the statement, “this is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is centered on tackling the country’s economic issues and enhancing the welfare of Nigerians.”
Additionally, the refinery reassured all parties involved—from partners and customers to government organizations—of its ongoing dedication to national service and operational excellence.
