By winning 4-1 on penalties, the Flying Eagles made sure they finished on the podium and went home.
After the game, Kingsley expressed his feelings, saying, “Winning a medal with the national team is an incalculable joy.” The fact that we are at least not returning empty-handed makes me quite glad.
He acknowledged that the team wanted to finish higher, but he emphasized how important it was to qualify for the next World Cup.
Sadly, this is not what we had hoped for, but above all, we have earned a spot in the World Cup. As we get ready for the World Cup, we’ll put in a lot of effort to make sure we build on this accomplishment,” he stated.
