Reps Speaker Announces Appointment of New Deputy Chief Whip

Representative Isiaka Ibrahim of the APC in Ogun has been named the new Deputy Chief Whip by Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.
Abbas reportedly made the news at Tuesday’s plenary in Abuja.
The Speaker claims that Ibrahim took over the role from the late Adewunmi Onanuga, who served until his death on January 15.

According to Abbas, the appointment came after lengthy discussions with the APC South-West caucus and pertinent stakeholders.

It is anticipated that Ibrahim, the representative for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in Ogun, will contribute his legislative expertise and experience to his new position.
