Eid-el-Kabir: Don’t Lose Hope, Let Sacrifice, Devotion, and Selflessness Guide Us — Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian Muslims and the Muslim Ummah worldwide on Eid-el-Kabir and encouraged Nigerians to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s (Peace Be Upon Him) values of selflessness, sacrifice, and dedication.

“Eid-el-Kabir represents the high point of the sacred first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, a period filled with opportunities for acts of worship and good deeds,” Tinubu said in his Eid-el-Kabir message, underscoring the festivity’s importance.

In addition, the President reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of resilience, tolerance, compassion, and dedication to the nation’s advancement. “I reiterate my dedication to these principles and convey my profound gratitude for the faith, tolerance, and tenacity Nigerians exhibit as we carry out audacious reforms,” he said.

According to Tinubu, “We may not yet be where we aspire to be, but I urge all Nigerians not to lose hope.” He acknowledged the difficulties Nigerians had encountered but urged them to maintain optimism. He gave them the reassurance that the nation is embarking on a new period of prosperity and hope, and that the worst days are behind them.

“We made a commitment two years ago to us that we would usher in a new period of prosperity and hope. Even while the path has not been straightforward and some have questioned our course, Tinubu stated that the perseverance of leaders in the public and private sectors, as well as the unwavering support of the majority of Nigerians, is producing results.

With important economic indicators showing progress, the President underlined that the reforms are gathering momentum and encouraged Nigerians to be optimistic and persistent. Additionally, especially during this season, he urged Nigerians to look out for each other’s health.

Regardless of ethnicity or religion, Eid-el-Kabir encourages love, compassion, and giving for everyone. In reference to the recent flooding in Mokwa, Niger State, Tinubu remarked, “Let us look out for each other’s health this season and always.” He also urged Nigerians to work with the government to provide relief to those in need.

Finally, he said, “May the joy and blessings of Eid-ul-Adha multiply in our lives and the life of our great nation,” and prayed for Nigeria’s leaders, front-line officers, peace, and prosperity.

Love should be shared.
