FIFA Could Slam Two-Year Ban on Vinicius of Real Madrid – Here’s Why

Vinicius Jr., a Real Madrid and Brazilian winger, is now being investigated by FIFA and might face a two-year ban owing to a claimed conflict of interest.
Vinicius and his Real Madrid teammates have had a difficult season, both domestically and on the continent. They were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and currently sit second in the Spanish La Liga standings.
Individually, the Brazilian footballer has had significant success with Real Madrid, scoring 105 goals and assisting 79 times in 311 outings across all competitions.
However, his on-field behavior has occasionally been called into question, prompting FIFA to investigate further.

According to MARCA, questions have been raised concerning Vinicius’ ownership positions in multiple professional football clubs, which may violate FIFA’s international standards.

This probe stemmed from a complaint filed by Brazilian corporation Tiberis Holding Do Brasil with the FIFA Ethics Committee on April 7.

The lawsuit alleges probable violations of ethical regulations, notably those that ban players from holding direct or indirect ownership in professional clubs.

Vinicius reportedly owns holdings in both Brazilian team Athletic Club de São João del Rei and Portuguese club Alverca.

If found guilty, Vinicius could face serious sanctions, including having to withdraw from these clubs or being suspended for up to two years.
