Flying Eagles Coach Aliyu Zubairu Confident of Victory Against Kenya

Aliyu Zubairu, the head coach of the Flying Eagles, has stated that he is adamant about his team winning handily against Kenya on Wednesday, May 7.
At the 2025 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations, the game will be the Flying Eagles’ last Group B encounter. It will be held at Cairo’s Air Defence Stadium on June 30.
Zubairu and his team will advance to the next round of the competition with a victory, continuing their pursuit of an unprecedented seventh continental championship.
With four points from two games played thus far, the seven-time champions are now in second position in the group after being held to a painful 0-0 tie by Morocco in their last game.
The Flying Eagles are under more pressure as a result of these draws, so it is crucial that they defeat Kenya, who are currently at the bottom of the group with just one point.
Following the draw with Morocco, Zubairu said, “We will approach the game against Kenya with optimism and confidence.”

“Even though they have had difficulty in this tournament, they are still a strong team, and we must show them the highest regard. To secure the three points required for our progression to the quarterfinals, we shall concentrate on staying highly focused.
Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi, meanwhile, took stock of the team’s arduous draw with Morocco and acknowledged the difficulties they encountered throughout play.
The Moroccans regrouped and dominated much of the second half, which created a tense scenario on the field. The squad had a solid start, displaying their skills and imposing authority in the first half.
“It was a fierce and competitive match, and I think the result appropriately reflects the battle we faced,” Bameyi said, praising both his teammates and the other squad. For the point we earned, we are grateful to God. It was vital to our spirits as we were ready for the pivotal game against Kenya.
