Burna Boy Claims Nigerian Music Industry Gatekeepers Tried to Break Him

Burna Boy, a Grammy winner, has stated that gatekeepers in the Nigerian music industry have done all in their power to impede his career’s advancement.
He made this revelation in response to a widely shared image from a recent interview in which seasoned music producer Obi Asika asserted that Burna Boy blew up internationally despite some Nigerian music business gatekeepers trying to sabotage his career.
“This is not even half of the story,” Burna Boy commented in a comment under the Instagram video’s blog post’s comments section. They broke me as much as they possibly could. They are still making every effort. Haha. However, they only succeeded in starting an insatiable fire that will burn them for all eternity.
Burna Boy’s smash song “Like To Party,” off his debut album “L.I.F.E.” (Leaving an Impact for Eternity), launched him into national prominence.

In the ensuing years, his career suffered and he was reduced to an underground performer.
However, the release of his breakthrough single, “Ye,” from the highly regarded album “Outside,” sent his career into overdrive on a global scale.
Nigerian music industry leaders and fans started buying from Burna Boy once more after his triumph abroad.
During the past few years, he has been the most popular African touring artist.
