Four members of Nigeria’s Super Falcons Make the WAFCON 2024 Best XI

Chiamaka Nnadozie, Michelle Alozie, Esther Okoronkwo, and Rasheedat Ajibade—four outstanding members of Nigeria’s Super Falcons—have been selected for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Best XI.
The players mentioned above were said to have contributed to the Super Falcons’ record-breaking 10th WAF victory.
The Technical Study Group of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the 2024 WAFCON team of the tournament, which honors the best players from each of the teams that competed in the recently finished tournament.
Nigeria’s goalie, Chiamaka Nnadozie, was a rock in goal, recording four clean sheets in six games and giving up just two goals from open play, both of which came in the tense final against the hosts, Morocco.

She was named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper due to her reliability and dominant presence.
Michelle Alozie won the award for best right-back of the competition on the defensive end. The Houston Dash defender, who kept opponents in check by mixing attacking thrust and defensive tenacity, was crucial in five of Nigeria’s six games.
Four Super Falcons players were selected for the WAFCON 2024 Best XI.
The event was illuminated by the brilliant performances of AFC Toronto’s winger, Esther Okoronkwo. She was named Woman of the Match twice, and she had two goals and six assists.
After a fantastic tournament, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade was crowned the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
With three Woman of the Match accolades and one goal and two assists, the Atletico Madrid attacker was the lifeblood of the Nigerian midfield. Nigeria made it to the final thanks in large part to her leadership and unwavering enthusiasm.
