Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has reiterated his commitment to providing the state’s citizens with democracy and good government in his Easter message, calling for harmony and peace throughout the holy season of Easter.
Governor Fubara emphasized that Easter offers a special chance for healing, forgiveness, and reaffirmation of common ideals of peace and unity in a statement released in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
In his personally written statement, “Renewed By The Resurrection: Advancing Peace, Unity and Good Governance,” the governor wished the people of Rivers State a happy Easter.
Easter is a time for unity, reconciliation, and reinforcing common values and beliefs, he emphasized.
This Easter, as we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I extend my warmest greetings and sincere congratulations to you.
The holy season of Easter is one of peace and harmony. During this time, relationships are restored, the suffering is eased, the hungry are fed, and the wounded are healed by the abundant peace of Christ that fills our hearts, Fubara wrote.
The governor went on to emphasize that Easter is a moment to renew our common conviction that peace will triumph over war and that even broken hopes can be revived in the light of the resurrection.
The people of Rivers State are resilient and deserve leadership that puts their needs first, Fubara said in his statement, which reaffirmed his commitment to providing excellent administration.
Our faith that nothing, not even death, not misfortune, can separate us from God’s love in Christ is reaffirmed throughout this season. “We remain victorious in Him,” the governor declared.
“I reiterate my unwavering commitment to deliver good governance to the resilient and dignified people of Rivers State,” he added, while reaffirming his commitment to enhancing governance in the land.
Encouragement of President Tinubu’s Agenda
Governor Fubara also used the occasion to urge Rivers State residents to follow his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu.
In anticipation of a brighter future, he urged the wonderful people of Rivers State to stick with and support our beloved President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Fubara underlined that in order to achieve the intended transformation for the state and the country, unity and common power are crucial.
