Funke Akindele: Social Media Insults Nearly Broke Me Mentally

Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and producer, has talked about how she nearly lost her mental health as a result of abuses she received on social media after Jumoke Aderounmu, a cast member of “Jenifa’s” Dairy, passed away.
The actress reportedly stated that she is a strong woman who is aware of insults and abuse on social media during the first Live episode of the “WithChude” podcast.
But because she was depressed at the time, she couldn’t handle the taunts she received on social media following Jumoke’s passing.

The actress-turned-politician claimed that in order to respond to the accusation that she neglected Jumoke prior to her death, she grabbed her phone, went into a room, and went live on Instagram.

“I see all the insults on social media,” she remarked. and I am a tough lady, but there came a point when I nearly lost my mind when someone accused me of something I hadn’t done when an actor from “Jenifa” died and someone claimed I hadn’t assisted her. and I was already feeling down. In order to prevent Juliana and the others from opening the door, I grabbed my phone, went inside, and shut the door.

“Some people go to kill themselves after locking the door. I’m glad I just locked the door so I could record live.
