“Everything has been finalized for the team that is getting ready for the Nationwide League One playoffs to play the Nigerian Flying Eagles, who are getting ready for the U-20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt later this month,” he said.
In contrast, “Kogi United FC would like to use the high-profile friendly against the nation’s U-20 team to evaluate the readiness of its players and the team as a whole before the 2025 edition of the nation’s 3rd-tier league, the Nationwide League One, begins.”
Coach Gilbert Opana, the team’s technical adviser, stated that the matchup with the Flying Eagles is a high-profile matchup because both teams are getting ready for new challenges.
There is no better moment for a quality encounter like this, the former Jigawa Golden Stars coach had previously told reporters in Lokoja. He said that he is looking forward to meeting the Flying Eagles, especially in light of what the squad has accomplished under Coach Aliyu Zubairu.
