Court Clears Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy in Mohbad’s Death Case

Contentious After being cleared by a Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, on Tuesday of any participation in the death of his late former signee, Aloba Oladimeji Ilerioluwa, commonly known as Mohbad, Nigerian musician Abdulazeez Fashola, also known on social media as Naira Marley, expressed gratitude to Allah.
According to reports, the case’s judge, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, followed the legal opinion of the Lagos-based Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), who declared that Naira Marley had nothing to answer for in relation to Mohbad’s death.
The court also exonerated Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde, Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, in addition to Naira Marley.
But the DPP said it will go ahead and prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who cared for Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of his pals.

Naira Marley posted on Tuesday under his 𝕏 handle, quoting passages from the Quran that discuss how people plot against one another, but Allah is the finest planner.

And “remember, o Prophet,” he added, “when the unbelievers plotted to kidnap, murder, or banish you. Allah planned as well as they did. And the greatest planner is Allah. And the one who fully trusts Allah will be sufficient for him (65:3).
