Mallam Suleiman Salisu, a leader of Kaduna State’s All Progressives Congress (APC), has cautioned Nigerians against former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
In an interview with the Daily Post, Salisu reportedly expressed shock at El-Rufai’s remarks criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration after they caused significant rift in the state.
Salisu expressed concern as well about the way certain politicians, such as El-Rufai, who previously held important positions in the nation, now attack the current administration for their appalling performance while in power.
The APC leader recalled El-Rufai’s previous actions and urged Nigerians to awaken from their lethargy and genuinely look for individuals who would save the nation from self-serving politicians who are out to get them and wind up causing discontent in the country.
He asserts that the difficulties Nigerians face are sufficient to prompt them to choose sensible leaders who could guide them out of their current predicament.
“Does that mean that Nigerians have quickly forgotten what the immediate former governor did during his eight years in office?” he said. Nigerians think that these are the politicians that wish to take over the country’s leadership since the previous governor is now everywhere acting like a saint and denouncing the current administration. What remedy can El-Rufai and his people provide for the nation?
