‘He Asked Me Four Times’ – Galadima Reveals Why He Rejected Working for President Tinubu

Buba Galadima, a leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), revealed that he declined President Bola Tinubu’s invitation to serve in his administration.
Galadima claims that during Nduka Obaigbhena’s mother’s funeral, Tinubu personally approached him four times, but he declined each time.
In an interview with AIT on Wednesday, the NNPP chieftain revealed that he declined the offer because he believed that if he accepted the position, he would not be able to be honest with President Tinubu.
Perhaps because of our relationship, I believed that I couldn’t tell him what was correct by simply looking him in the eyes.
“Four times during Obaigbhena’s mother’s funeral, Tinubu got up from his chair and approached me, requesting that I work for him, but I declined,” Galadima recalled.
As previously reported, Galadima revealed in the same interview how President Tinubu helped his daughter land a job at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
Galadima revealed that he still has a personal friendship with President Tinubu, even though he frequently criticizes the administration led by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
