Gov Adeleke: We Know Those Who Tried to Stop Us, Openly or Silently

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has responded to recent events within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), such as the resignation of Wole Oke, a member of the House of Representatives.
According to reports, Adeleke assured the people of his dedication to the advancement of the state and the distribution of democratic dividends, even if he recognized that certain party members are working against his reelection campaign.
The governor attempted to ease tensions around Oke’s resignation by reassuring party members that the PDP has not lost any true followers in a statement released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
“We know how we got to Government House and we know those God used to make it possible,” the statement says. We are aware of those who tried to stop us, whether overtly or covertly. We also know people who once disagreed with us but have since adopted our motto of good government.
Governor Adeleke also underlined that his administration has gained more support and broadened its base in spite of the opposition, particularly as a result of many members defecting from other parties.
“We now have more partners, supporters, and good-will men across party lines thanks to our hard work,” he continued.
Adeleke emphasized his administration’s inclusivity, claiming that it serves all federal constituencies in Osun State.
He emphasized the equitable allocation of development projects around the state and the notable presence of diverse constituencies in his cabinet.
“Every federal constituency is treated equally by our administration. My cabinet contains three key portfolios for a certain federal constituency. Everywhere in the state benefits from our infrastructure strategy. He reaffirmed his commitment to leading a government that is genuinely for all Osun citizens when he declared, “Our local content programs spread opportunities to all and sundry.”

Concerns about internal party difficulties, such as the persistent problems in the local government system, were also discussed by the governor.
He reaffirmed the significance of grassroots mobilization for the PDP’s triumph in the next election and expressed optimism that the standoff will soon be settled within the bounds of the law.
“We must stay focused on grassroots mobilization without becoming sidetracked. We will shortly settle the dispute inside the local government system within the framework of the rule of law,” Adeleke said.
Adeleke used the occasion to thank the people and organizations who supported him for a second term, thanking them for their devotion to the PDP.
