JAMB Delists Four CBT Centres, Arrests 27 Impersonators

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), 27 people were arrested for impersonating someone during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
For swift legal action, the accused have been sent to the Nigeria Police.
Additionally, JAMB said that four Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers had been delisted for failing to adhere to its strict ethical and technological criteria.

These are the delisted centers:

Adventure Associate, Kano, Kano State, off Hadejia Road, behind Sheshe Supermarket.
Saadatu Rimi College of Education is located in Naibawa, Kano, Kano State, on Zaria Road.
The address is Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Center 1, Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal, 96 kilometers.
Tambuwal, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Centre 2, Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin stated in a statement released Friday evening, “While JAMB commends the 883 centers that have demonstrated exceptional performance, it unequivocally warns that any center which fails to meet ethical or technical standards, regardless of ownership, will be blacklisted.”

Candidates who were initially assigned to the affected centers have been told to reprint their exam slips as soon as possible so they can get the most recent information about their new exam dates and locations.

Any inconvenience this may have caused was acknowledged by the exam board. Nonetheless, the board has declared that candidates who fail to reprint their slips will not be given any leeway.

Furthermore, JAMB stated that as of Friday, April 25, 2025, out of 2,083,600 registered candidates nationwide, over 900,000 have successfully finished the UTME.

The board also discussed a complaint that several candidates wearing hijabs were allegedly turned away from the Caleb University CBT center. JAMB described this conduct as “unauthorized” and attested to the fact that it was immediately fixed.

A security guard who was overly enthusiastic was the cause of this foolish move.

In addition to expressing our deepest regrets to the impacted candidates, JAMB praised the center’s and the university’s leadership for their swift action in ensuring that no candidate was unfairly disadvantaged.

The exam body reaffirmed its dedication to administering a transparent and equitable examination procedure to all applicants across the country.
