Joe Igbokwe Names ‘Luckiest Man’ in ADC Coalition, Says It’s Time to Cash Out

Okey Ralph Nwosu, the former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is the happiest man in the party, according to Joe Igbokwe, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, a group of the nation’s opposition leaders reportedly chosen the ADC as their platform in an attempt to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
As the party took over, Nwosu, a founding member and longtime national chairman, resigned along with other party administrators to make room for former Senate President David Mark and other coalition members.
Igbokwe responded by implying in a post on his official Facebook page that Nwosu had fought for the party for years and that now was his day to shine.
According to his post, “Chief Okey Nwosu is the luckiest man in this ADC Coalition.” This celebration has been difficult for him for a long time.
“All right, Nwannem, get everything you can. You have time. For it, you worked hard. The little bird, however, is unable to fly. Bro, cash out.

Former Transportation Minister and two-term Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, meanwhile, has claimed that Nigeria was safer and more economically sound during the former President Muhammadu Buhari government.
According to Amaechi, a member of the alliance for 2027, President Bola Tinubu was never the best person to lead Nigeria.
The former minister reportedly made the harsh comments on Wednesday in Abuja when the African Democratic Congress (ADC) unveiled its temporary national executive.
In addition to warning that the current administration has fallen short of Nigerians’ expectations, the former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate claimed he has continuously questioned Tinubu’s ability to lead.
