Drama Turns Real: Actor Battles Internal Bleeding After Scene With Zubby Michael
Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe of Nollywood was hospitalized right away after suffering a serious injury that caused internal hemorrhage.
In a series of pictures on his Instagram feed, the movie actor reportedly described his experience.
According to Nnadiekwe, his coworker Zubby Michael kicked him forcefully in the chest, resulting in internal bleeding that sent him to the hospital.
He claimed that the movie producer had not authorized or scripted the kick.
Nnadiekwe said that the kick produced severe agony that need expensive and urgent medical attention, and that the film’s production staff did not provide any support.
“I wanted to share a story about something that happened on set a few days ago,” he stated. This isn’t meant to be critical of anyone, but it serves as a sobering reminder to put one another’s safety first on set. My coworker, who wasn’t on the script or under the director’s direction, kicked me in the chest during a scene.

“It has really hurt me.” To feel better today, I had to acquire some medicine for my chest. I worked alone on all of these. No help! Even if this is an accident, sudden physical acts like these might have serious repercussions when we’re working without insurance coverage or easily accessible first aid. Let’s pledge to follow the plan and make sure everyone is treated with dignity and safety.
What if there had been a more serious incident? Or did this go wrong? Every action on the set, especially the physical ones, needs to be deliberate and in line with the director’s vision. Nnadiekwe’s management team verified in a subsequent social media post that his illness had gotten worse and that he needed emergency hospitalization right away.
“We regret to notify you that Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe was taken to the hospital this evening,” the message said. After being kicked in the chest while filming with his coworker Zubby Michael, he is currently receiving treatment for internal bleeding.

In the meantime, a video that has gone viral shows Zubby Michael getting out of a car, giving Nnadiekwe a hard kick to the chest, and then running inside a nearby building.
