Like Uduaghan, Okowa and Oborevwori Will Return – South-South PDP Chair

According to Emma Ogidi, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) South South Caretaker Committee, the party is still active in Delta State.
According to reports, Ogidi stated that the departure of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had not diminished the party’s numbers or prospects.
Ogidi noted in an interview with Vanguard that Delta State’s whole progress was provided by the PDP.

“Yes, the PDP is still in existence in Delta State; there is no denying that our membership has declined, but the party is still there.”

“I got a lot of calls from folks who indicated they were staying put after I announced that I had been assigned the task. This enthusiasm is still there in the PDP.

“Do you know why? The PDP has been successful because of the progress that Delta State has seen throughout the years. People wonder what’s going on, but the truth is that everyone has a different background, thus those who joined the APC had their own motivations. However, those of us who stayed behind have reasons for doing so.

“The PDP’s success in Delta State is one factor. All of the current developments in Delta State are the result of PDP. Some of us are still dedicated to giving back to Delta State because the PDP created the majority of the hundrednaires, thousands of people, and millions you see now.

Deltans should be thankful to PDP for their assistance. I firmly believe this, and I implore Deltans to recognize that the PDP in Delta State still has hope,” he stated.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has nothing to give, the former commissioner who represented Delta State on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) said.

He emphasized that Governor Oborevwori and Okowa might rejoin the PDP, much like former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan did.

Delta State belongs to the PDP. As you may remember, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, a former governor, visited the APC. He returned, and I am aware of his remarks. He claimed to have visited the location and found nothing there. As you can see, this is not the time to start answering every question. It’s a time for reflection.

“Those of us remaining in the PDP are assessing the situation. This is a chapter, of course, and we will report to our national headquarters in Abuja,” he continued.
