Music Brings Me Joy, Money or Not – CDQ

Regardless of the financial gain, Nigerian rapper Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, better known by his stage as CDQ, has stated that he feels fulfillment in his work.
According to reports, the “Nowo Soke” crooner recently told the Echo Room that he became a banker in order to fulfill his late father’s request.
He found himself penning lyrics during work hours rather than doing his job duties, thus CDQ claimed he made the decision to leave his banking position and pursue his musical career.

The rapper claims that he was unable to inform any family members of his decision to flee his house and live with music producer Masterkraft.

According to CDQ, he assured Masterkraft that they should concentrate on music and that a breakthrough would happen in six months.

After they got a deal and moved from the ghetto to Lekki, he said, they made their breakthrough within six months.

“I quit my bank job,” he said. I was unable to inform my mother or any other family member at the time. After leaving the house, I headed to the studio to remain with Masterkraft. I told him that my passion isn’t banking. I’ll most likely simply do it to get by. However, music is something that I like doing whether or not I get paid for it.

In 2016, CDQ became well-known after his smash song “Indomie,” which featured Masterkraft and Olamide, was released. Davido was featured on the remix, which made him extremely famous.
