Due to frequent flight delays and cancellations, Air Peace was called in by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on Friday.
To lessen the situation, Air Peace was instructed by DGCA Capt. Chris Najomo to enhance its domestic operations right now and reduce operations to the number of aircraft in its fleet.

During a meeting with some airline management personnel in Abuja, the DGCA made the charge.
While admitting that it faces some difficulties that are common in the sector, the airline representatives stated that they were working around the clock to address them.
While saying that the NCAA will keep helping the airlines, Najomo also mentioned that operators need to follow the rules and international best practices.
He cautioned that in order to assure compliance, the NCAA was stepping up its oversight of flight operations on all airlines.
