The All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in Oyo State has characterized certain APC leaders who have been endorsing Governor Seyi Makinde as self-serving politicians.
According to reports, the APC issued this warning after some party members had commended Makinde for acting in what they considered to be the state’s best interests.
However, the party threatened to punish members who supported Makinde in a statement released on Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Wasiu Olawale Sadar, calling the action a disgrace.
Sadare insisted that all APC members are required to back the party’s 2027 takeover attempt of the state.
He continued by saying the party has done its research and found that certain people still posing as APC leaders are actually employed by the PDP, or People’s Democratic Party.

“But for selfishness and poor orientation resulting from indiscipline and myopia, no reasonable member of the APC would turn himself into a propaganda machine for the current PDP administration, which has mortgaged the future of the unborn generations by wasting millions of dollars on frivolities and inanity over the last six years,” he said.
Given that they both claimed to be the leaders of our great party up to this point, we thought the actions of the guilty individuals were extremely repugnant and reckless.
“Those who pose as APC chieftains and continue to work for the PDP in recent years have no justification for committing such ignominious acts, but we would engage them as Democrats since some schools of thought believe they were either misinformed or misrepresented,” the statement reads.
