Gov Mbah to PDP Reconciliation Committee: Justice Is Key to Unity

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot afford to enter the 2027 election with a split house, according to Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State.
According to reports, Governor Mbah stated that a united house based on justice and inclusiveness was the only way for the PDP to win.
When he hosted the party’s National Reconciliation Committee at Government House in Enugu on Thursday, under the direction of former Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, he made this statement.
“We cannot afford to have a split house going into future elections. He stated that the only way to win is to present a unified front that is based on fairness, inclusivity, and a sincere attempt to reunite those who have departed.
The governor promised that Enugu will always fly the party’s flag with pride and that the state would remain a PDP state.
He declared, “Enugu continues to be the PDP’s stronghold, a state that has proudly flown the party’s flag over the years.”
The sole governor of the South East PDP expressed concern over the region’s PDP members defecting to other parties. Nonetheless, he expressed hope that all of the decampees would ultimately stay PDP members.
We acknowledge that some of our Southeast members may have felt wronged in the past, but we must never forget that our party is built on a basis of fraternity and common principles. This attempt at reconciliation is a chance to welcome the PDP back home, as many of the departing members still hold it in high regard.

“The PDP is still the only party with the history, structure, and vision to genuinely serve the Nigerian people,” the statement reads. Therefore, it is our duty to give Nigerians hope again. In order to create enduring peace, patience, discernment, and subtlety are necessary, which makes the work of the reconciliation committee crucial,” he continued.
In the interest of harmony and group advancement, Governor Mbah further exhorted all PDP members to support this reconciliation process.
For the benefit of our people, he said, “We must unite, stronger than ever, to create a powerful party prepared to reclaim its rightful place in governance.”
